Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has officially announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. Candidates who selected UNIOSUN as their first-choice institution during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as those willing to change their institution to UNIOSUN, are invited to apply.
The screening exercise provides an opportunity for qualified candidates to secure admission into one of Nigeria's leading state universities.
UNIOSUN Post UTME Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 2026/2027 UNIOSUN Post UTME screening exercise, candidates must:
- Choose UNIOSUN as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME or be willing to change to UNIOSUN as first choice.
- Obtain a minimum UTME score of 160.
- Be at least 16 years old on or before 30th September, 2026.
- Possess the required O'Level results and subject combinations relevant to their chosen course.
Special Cut-Off Requirement for Selected Courses
Candidates who scored below 200 in UTME will not be considered for admission into:
- Law
- Islamic Law
- Nursing
- Medicine and Surgery
Applicants who selected any of these programmes but scored below the required mark are advised to change to other suitable programmes available in the university.
O'Level Admission Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects obtained in:
- SSCE
- NECO
- NABTEB
Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
However, candidates applying for:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Nursing
- Law
- Islamic Law
must obtain the required five credit passes in one sitting only.
For Direct Entry applicants, the University may accept a minimum of Lower Credit qualification where applicable.
Direct Entry Candidates Application Guidelines
Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into UNIOSUN for the 2026/2027 academic session are required to:
- Obtain the Direct Entry Form from JAMB.
- Complete the online screening application.
- Carefully review the admission requirements before applying.
- Forward their academic transcripts to the Registrar of Osun State University before the stipulated deadline.
- Participate in the screening exercise.
This requirement also applies to candidates from UNIOSUN's IJMB and JUPEB programmes seeking admission through Direct Entry.

Admission for the 2026/2027 academic session will be processed through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) established by JAMB.
All applicants must upload their O'Level results to the JAMB CAPS portal, as failure to do so may affect admission consideration.
Awaiting Result Candidates
Candidates awaiting O'Level results may apply, but must upload their results within one week of release.
False Information
Any candidate found submitting false information, forged documents, or inaccurate records will:
- Have their admission withdrawn.
- Face prosecution by relevant law enforcement agencies.
- Forfeit all fees paid, as no refund will be granted.
Participation is Mandatory
Failure to participate in the screening exercise automatically disqualifies a candidate from admission consideration.
Medical Examination Requirement
All candidates offered admission into Osun State University will undergo a compulsory medical examination, including drug screening, before final registration.

12:00 Noon, Thursday, 17th September, 2026
Late applications will not be entertained after the deadline.
